The power of science and storytelling have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. The ability of science to continually discover and explain new aspects of reality, from the microscopic to the macroscopic, has captivated me for more than 5 decades. At the same time, I love storytelling’s ability to imagine the impossible, bring people together, and help us make sense of the world around us. As a healthcare writer, I have been able to combine these 2 passions into a career that consistently challenges me and feeds my desire to endlessly keep learning. I am happy to put my skills to work for you and your agency to help create impactful creative that distinguishes brands, motivates customers, and moves market share.

With more than 16 years of experience in healthcare communications, I am a passionate, team-oriented professional who loves to solve problems, push limits, and mentor new talent. During my career, I have helped teams successfully launch global brands, pitch new accounts, and develop engaging and inspiring campaigns. While I have worked in a wide range of categories, including gastroenterology, cardiology, dermatology, and oncology, the field that I enjoy most is neurology, partly because of its complexity and element of mystery. As a writer, I love taking complex information and simplifying it, so that people not only understand it, but understand why it’s important.

My journey in healthcare communications has not been a straight line. I was a journalist for 5 years, a teacher for 11 years, and I co-founded an educational nonprofit. As a result, I have a broad range of skills, a unique perspective, and the ability to thrive in a variety of situations. Over the years, I have honed my talents as a writer, collaborator, presenter, manager, trainer, and leader. In general, I am a positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic person, with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for people. Even after more than 50 years on this earth, I continue to be intrigued by people and their stories, whether they are patients, healthcare providers, co-workers, or random people waiting in line for coffee.

In my personal life, I have a wide range of interests that help keep me stimulated, active, curious, and grounded. Those interests include hiking, biking, photography, history, astronomy, philosophy, education, human rights, and animal welfare.
